Why Ads Are Part of the Plan
Streaming video has real costs: hosting, delivery, development, platform requirements, support, and rights-holder compensation. RTTV is an ad-supported service so viewers can access channels without subscriptions or paywalls.
Ad-supported access only works if viewers, advertisers, platforms, and rights holders can trust the experience. That means ads should be clearly presented, measured responsibly, and separated from navigation and playback controls.
No Account Required by Design
RTTV is designed so viewers can open the app, choose a channel, and start watching without creating a profile. Avoiding accounts helps keep the experience simple and reduces the amount of information the service needs from viewers.
Clear Ad Placement
RTTV does not plan to disguise ads as play buttons, download buttons, channel choices, episode cards, or system alerts. Ads may appear before, during, after, or around programming depending on final app configuration, but they should be visibly separate from normal app controls.
Aggregate Measurement
RTTV may need aggregate information such as channel activity, playback events, ad break counts, and general performance. This can help operate the service, detect abuse, understand what programming works, and report totals to licensors or rights holders.
The goal is to understand service activity, not to create social profiles or public viewer identities. RTTV is not designed around comments, uploads, friend systems, public accounts, or personalized social feeds.
Invalid Traffic Prevention
Ad-supported services must take invalid traffic seriously. RTTV's terms prohibit attempts to manipulate viewing, ad, or reporting data. That includes automated traffic, repeated artificial views, ad-click manipulation, scraping, and other behavior that could harm advertisers, platforms, or reporting accuracy.
Family-Focused Privacy
RTTV is designed to be family-friendly and COPPA-conscious. The project does not intentionally request names, home addresses, phone numbers, public posts, photos, comments, direct messages, or social information from children.
